GAP is a home away from home - low teacher student ratio, lots of time outdoors, stimulating art projects, baking, dress up, jewelry making etc. We also offer additional educational experiences for art, music, movement and drama.
We have plenty of time to help the children with homework and projects. Older children read to the kindergartners and first graders. GAP is staffed with certified teachers and our teaching assistants have college degrees.
We have great food, all our dairy is organic, our breads are usually gluten free (we always have a gluten free option available) and we serve lots of fresh fruit daily.
We recognize that children have had a full day at school and while needing structure they also need a safe space to unwind and decompress. We know that this process is different for every child - for some it is time in the sandbox, others bounce a ball hard against the wall or play four square. Some will read, some children will gather sticks and build structures on the dirt, others will gather the fallen camellia blossoms and sell them for one wood chip and still others have to get into the sensory room ... Holiday Camp Schedule
Holiday camps are designed to provide children with structured activities and a fun, relaxing environment during school breaks, with a healthy balance of physical activity, arts and crafts opportunities, group games and social time.
